W510 now, or wait?

So I'm looking to upgrade my "old" C2D T60 for a quad for the development work I've been doing (would be good to have a quad, VS2010/Fortran/SQL Server).

So...
The W510's are on end-of-year sale for like $1100, which seems good to me.
My dev machine sits on a desk 95% of the time, but is important to be mobile (mobile office / coffee-shop)
... I can't believe I'd even consider a 7-lb "laptop"
Workstation graphics aren't super important - I've done OK with the Intel IGP in my T60
The "decent" LCD in the W510 is a draw, but honestly I'll rarely use it
Compatibility with my T60 dock is important (I know, probably unlikely.. I have this: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/ThinkPad_ ... _Mini_Dock)

My questions are -
Should I hold out for a Sandy Bridge-based laptop?
Are T-series FINALLY going to go quad next year?
I'm guessing that come Jan 1/Sandy Bridge, the 2010 machines will be gone, and prices will go to stupid-high again, right?
Are the quality issues with the W510 overblown? (I'm assuming it's mostly with the QX chip, not the 720QM chip I'd get...)

Thanks!
