Seems legit to me. The seller has 100% feedback and has feedback specifically for selling W510's. He was previously selling them for quite a bit more money, so it appears that he/she is dumping inventory, probably in reaction to recent Lenovo discounts and coupons. Nice laptop for the price ...

Hi, thanks for the assurance to boost my confidence in purchasing it.
By the way, I saw that W510 supports up to 16gb but the processor in it as I saw in intel product page only support up to 8gb
http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=47341, please pardon my ignorance or is this normal?
The system comes equipped with 2 x 2GB ram, if this system has 4 slots and I want to make it 8gb, do you recommend 2 sticks of 4Gb or 4 sticks of 2gb or are they the same in terms of performance?
And how about using generic ram purchased from vendor like Kingston's valueram?
Many many thanks.

Contrary to what the seller claims, the notebook probably doesn't have a quad core processor. The i5 notebook processors are dual core.

Search this board for threads on memory slots for the W510. I don't follow this model, but I vaguely recall lots of chatter about 2 vs. 4 memory slots. Could be a show stopper if you buy the wrong thing.

The model offered supports max. 8 GB of RAM and has two SO-DIMM sockets. A family member expanded his ThinkPad's memory with Kingston Value RAM, there have been no complaints so far.
