In 2007 when I bought my T60, there was a marked difference in quality between the LG (much better?) and Samsung (much worse?) screens. And there was a way to lookup your oderd as soon as it shipped to see which one you got.

Now I am looking at getting a W510 with the FHD screen and want to find out 1) is there still a risk of getting a lower grade screen by luck, and 2) where is the link to find out which screen you got after shipping?

Thanks in advance, and if this is located can it be added to the Links/FAQ page for posterity?

On the warranty screen, plug in your machine type and serial number and search for it. On the following screen click on the link for installed parts list.
