~~ NEW WIRELESS WAN OPTION ~~****{for Tx20 ; Wx20 & Edge}

G'day Everyone;
RE: The Ericsson modules, unmemorably named the H5321gw and C5321gw,
Got my new Thinkpad Edge(with ABOVE WAN card) ....

These cards reported release sometime ago here

Considering the content of this article;
The modules, unmemorably named the H5321gw and C5321gw, are thinner, 40 percent smaller and three times faster than the company's previous modules, and work on both WCDMA/HSPA+ and GSM/EDGE networks. The former, designed for tablets and computers, will be available to electronics customers in October, and the latter, created for cameras, handheld gaming devices, media players, navigation devices and machine-to-machine functionalities, will be available in September and so make it into consumer devices likely in time for the holidays.
...
My Edge does seem faster with this new WAN -5321gw[/i]-(not sure its 3 x faster as claimed but the lack of speed could be due to network speeds in NewZeaand & Australia - where I am currently) The increase speeds could be results of faster newer i5....but am sure keen to see the NEWER IMPROVED SPEEDS on next trip to KOREA & JAPAN (((not likely for looooong time - nope dont want to glow in dark yet !:P))

Seems Lenovo is using the more 'compact model' - C5321gw for laptops and hope-to/love to see one of these in the newer X220 Tablet.... :help: Lenovo !!!

Love to hear about their "experiances and or performances"......

Cheers and happy 'thinkpadin'!
