Dock esata and dock usb ports

The dock esata and dock usb ports are non-functional on my dock, what to do?

Is this a new dock? If so take it back.

Is this a old dock? Did it work yesterday?

Did you get a new PC and only the new PC does not work?

Have you reseated the PC in the dock?

Is the dock plugged into a power source? It will not use the PC's battery power.
