W500 Panel change

Hi,

Does anybody know if it's possible to replace the panel 42T0574 (WUXGA) with a 42T0488 (WSXGA+) ?
W500 4063-G99.

it is said that for the w500 the samsung is horrible dark ... is this correct?

No, I didn't because I started to like the panel (WXUGA) after few weeks of use.
Yes, you should be able to switch to WXGA/WSXGA (non-led) , for led you need another inverter.

I can't compare it with a LG panel, but I can say that is less brighter than a LED (using level 10-12 of brightness / 15).

For my needs is perfect, I'm doing web apps.
