Intel 510 Series SSD with W520 - Problems?

I was told the Intel 510 Series SSD may have some potential problems with Thinkpads. I was thinking between the Intel 320 Series (SATA2) to the Intel 510 Series(SATA3).

But have heard reliability with the Intel 320 Series is better than the 520. First due to the control of the 320 being Intel and not Marvel and second the Intel 510 may have some potential warm boot problems with Thinkpads while the 320 is flawless.

The 320 has a known firmware issue that so far Intel has not released a fix.

[censored], thanks a lot for the info!
Other places I've always read the Intel 320 was rock solid and reliable and that it is only the Intel 510 which gave some warm boot issues with Thinkpads. But that's news to me. Thanks again

So would you go with the 510 Series or the 320 one?

I read on some other forums the 510 is somewhat less reliable because its using Marvel controller while the 320 uses an Intel controller which seem more reliable. Plus the 320 is offered with 5 yrs warrenty while the 510 is only offered with 3 yrs.

I wouldn't care about the warrenty that much as I will probably change my drive anyway within 2 years. But it seems Intel feels the 320 is more reliable.

However that link you gave me from just a few days ago, may change the picture.

So now if money's is not an issue, I still don't know which Intel to choose (I am not into any other drives than Intel already got burned in the past with OCZ). I am looking for the ultimate reliability.

If it were me I'd get the 80GB Intel msata if you can find one and a 1TB for the bay. You don't need speed for storage.
