Picked up my new W520 4276-38U yesterday.
The lid has some marks that I wouldn't quite call scratches, but this is brand new and shouldn't be marred in any way. Could these be easily cleaned without damaging the matte finish of the lid or should I insist on a replacement?
Thanks.

Re: New W520 has marks on the lid
Get a Mr. Clean magic eraser from the local grocery. Soak it in very hot water and wring out the excess. Give the top of the laptop 2 or 3 swipes all around and dry with a clean lint free cloth. How does it look now? (Do not get any water down into the machine and only do this with the battery and AC adapter removed. Stay clear of the hinge area.) Not sure if this will fix your issue, but I have made 8 year old laptop lids look brand new with this method.
