VIRUS induced DoS attack July 27, 2010

#1 Post by BillMorrow » Wed Jul 28, 2010 11:35 am

About 3 or 4 pm eastern time a virus or worm on hundreds of chinese computers commenced an attack on a block of IP address's which took down the entire server farm this forum is located..

it took about 2 hours of constant requests before it all crashed about 6 pm (eastern time) and it required all night for the IP provider to block each attacking IP address..

the hope is we will be better prepared for this type of attack in the future..

The problems you are having are not related to this forum. You should check with a forum dedicated to virus removal to help solve your problems.
