fingerprint reader on Z61m

I need to change my touchpad on my z61m.It has fingerprint reader.Can i disconnect the cable from the touchpad?

Absolutely. The connector lock just slides out a little which permits the release of the cable. I've swapped touchpads on many palmrests w/fingerprint readers.

Thanks,that is what i was hoping for.
It's very small as you knows.I am looking at the under side of the new one and see the connecter on the right side.Do i lift up or pull toward the button and is there any locking tabs?What should i use?I don'want to break it.
Sorry for being dumb,but the first time is always the learning time.
I like to do it my self.

I got it,thanks.Just slide the black locking tab and slide the cable out.
