Z61m Mystery Device

#1 Post by schen » Wed Dec 07, 2011 11:43 pm

Anybody have an idea what a mystery device called "Mass Storage Controller", under "other devices" might be? I just did a clean load of Windows 7 on my Z61m and have pretty much cleared everything else up with direct driver downloads from Lenovo, but this one is eluding me right now.

If I remember correctly, something to do with the card reader...

Just a guess here, but perhaps the card reader? Nothing via Windows Update?

No, I have both the PCMCIA TI controller as well as the SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller and Update came up with 124 of those, but nothing for that device. I'm running System Update right now and it came up with 4 misc software packages, but nothing for that either. So, it's "head-scratcher" right now. :?

Found it! It was called a "Memory Technology Driver: Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller" I guess there were multiple controllers for the card readers.
