Thinkpad A22M No Sound

My Thinkpad a22m 2628 is running Windows 2000 SP4 and the drivers for the sound are installed acording to the computer and it seems to be utilizing the resources correctly. I have turned on the spekers themselves and they work fine under linux I know that it is a combo driver (CS4624/CS4297A) and I have installed to the letter of the drivers from the Lenovo website but still no sound with the speakers or headphone jacks any help would be appreciated.
