R40 vs. R40e USB ports oddity

#1 Post by ilakast » Tue Nov 27, 2012 1:56 pm

Having inherited an R40 and an R40e (amongst others) I realised a rather odd thing:

R40e which is an Oct 2003 model has USB 1.0 ports whereas R40 which is a Jan 2003 model has USB 2.0 (!)

So it's not always the newer the better :D

"E" stands for "economy" and they sure cut quite a few corners with R40e...not to say that R50e or R60e were spared...
