Ok, got IBM r61 15.4 inch with the WXGA screen which is 1280x800, and saw there is a 15.4-in WSXGA+ TFT for it. Says the resolution is 1600x1050 there abouts.
Now here's the question, if I look for the screen on ebay I get lots of hits for the T61 lenovo unit. I guess the big question is.. would a T61 screen work on it?
For instance... here is one I found... would this work?

Or how about this one?

Either of these will work.
Happy upgrading.

Re: IBM r61-8933. Would like to upgrade the screen resolution
Another quick question:
Since these are full assemblies will it pretty much fit or will I have to modify/remove my existing screen? Sorry for the questions. I am doing my homework (or well trying to, and think I might be failing) but when I plug in some part numbers I get a lot of x-references to the t61.
I have even heard I might be able to go up to a WUXGA 1900x1200 assembly as well.
With that in mind I saw this auction as well. Now the IBM r61 manual makes no mention of this so this would be would it work or not. Part of me thinks "uh, no" but again I figure I would ask

You can go up to 1920x1200 if you want to.
None of the LCD assemblies previously linked would could be used as a set, you'll have to remove the screen(s) and swap around...
