Dock 2503 - a good price?

#1 Post by glossywhite » Fri May 17, 2013 5:12 pm

Hello folks! :) I hope you are all having a lovely weekend, so far?

I have just seen a *brand new and boxed*, Dock 2503 on eBay for £29.99 + free 48hr courier shipping... is this a good price?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281104846779? ... 1439.l2649

What is the going rate of these?

Many thanks, God bless you all,

Matt :)

I don't quite know the going rate, but I picked one up for £13 on eBay a few months back...

From this seller: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/thehouseofbargain/ They don't seem to have any at the moment though.

Wow! Maybe I'll take one that exists for £30, over one that isn't in stock :P

hehe (sorry if that sounds sarcastic - that wasn't how I meant it to sound :) )

[EDIT]

PS: What's the deal with the Dock and the ATI X1300 card? Kinda confused - it says no DVI pass through with GMA graphics - I can live with that, but what extra does the ATI card being installed into it, provide, please?

Thanks (confused n00b)

Regarding the price, if you are not in a hurry, I would suggest to lurk a bit longer because there are much better prices coming about now and then. For example item number 130898265963 that got sold recently. Subscribing to an RSS feed makes it easier.

Thank you, and thank you to everyone else. Me being how I am, I've now settled the payment and bought the item for £29.99, since it is brand new, and will match my brand new R61 too :)

Thanks for the help!

God bless you all :)

One question:

I know that the ThinkPads with GMA (Intel) graphics, do not have DVI pass-through on the 2503 docking station, but I have seen people installing ATI X1300 gfx cards into their docks - does this mean that I can use the dual head function of the X1300 to feed two monitors? :p

Thanks for all your help - it is invaluable! I had to create a new post and not edit the one above, else I don't think you'd be alerted to this post.

:) Matt.

Some (most) do, some don't.

Brill! Thank you for clarifying the unclear :D

I'm very much looking forward to the extended capabilities of being in dock! :p
