My Thinkpad R61 will not turn on

#1 Post by Djmax4599 » Sun Jun 09, 2013 11:08 pm

I accidentally spilled water on it last night and the water went under the laptop so I unplugged everything as fast as I could and I let it sit to dry.. I tried to plug everything up today because it seemed dry and when I plugged it up the green light that normally shows did not I put the battery in and no battery light indicating its charging... I tried to turn it on and nothing happens its like I have the battery and the charger unplugged.. :( HELP PLEASE!!!

Pull the memory and try to power it on. If it doesn't beep, the board is most likely dead, but a replacement shouldn't be too terribly expensive if you don't mind doing it yourself.

Time for a new motherboard, or a replacement laptop altogether.

Good luck.
