Adding Bluetooth to an A31

#1 Post by nagraman » Tue May 10, 2005 5:16 pm

I have an A31, 2652-JUU, which has WiFi, Modem, and network capability.
Can I add Bluetooth to this machine :?:
What all is required :?:
How much dissassembly is required beyond opening the cover to access the Mini-PCI card jack :?:
Thanks in advance :D

Yep.

Installing the antenna and the BT card, and changing the icon bar at the bottom and back of the display. Get the HMM for your system, look up the part numbers and order them from IBM parts.

Complete disassembly due to the fact that the BT antenna is installed between the lower case and the MB and literally surrounds the serial connector.
