lol. Probably because MS decided to add more recent OpenGL support or something to the drivers... or some other optimization for newer hardware.

My British friend has been tasked with making a gaming engine, and he wants to use the absolute latest version of OpenGL as the primary graphics output, which would mean Intel HD 3xxx or newer. That's Sandy Bridge or newer! Thinkpad T510s with no dedicated graphics and older would be out of the picture. That's absolutely outrageous! His current gaming engine for 2D games uses very simple Direct2D functions, and can function on as old as Intel 810 chipset Integrated graphics. OLD.
Trying my hardest to collect Thinkpads, but college and being broke kinda gets in the way. However...
