High-res motherboard image for R51?

#1 Post by Yetanfou » Mon Dec 02, 2013 7:44 am

I just got myself another freebie, a dark-screened R51 (1829-L7G) which the previous owner had attempted - and failed - to bring back to life. He ordered a new inverter, tried it, no luck, left it standing somewhere for 3 years and gave up. A quick look inside the machine showed frayed insulation on the blue CCFL lead wire. Neither of the inverters produced any HT leading me to suspect the fuse on the motherboard. While I know that this fuse is likely to be somewhere in the vicinity of the connector on the main board, it would be interesting to have a look at said board before I start pulling the thing apart. Did anyone on this board who repaired the R51 before happen to take some high-res pictures of the main board? If so please post (a link to) them here for those holdouts who still think it is worthwhile to repair a Pentium-M based machine in these days of multi-core madness.

Check the link for fuses here (near the top): http://theboardroom.info/ibm_list.htm
R5x and T4x are virtually identical.
