A31 15 screen for an A31p 14 machine changeout

#1 Post by jack NYC » Mon May 23, 2005 2:10 pm

Hi all
Can anyone weigh in on issues or potential problems with taking the 15' screen off of an A31 and Swapping it with an A31p machine that has a 14 currently. I'd just swap out the whole assembly. Is there a problem with the inverter or some other weird issue that would prevent this from working.
Thanks
This forum rocks!!!! :D

Congrats. You didn't have any problems with this? I'm looking for a used A22P but I can't find many, and most of the ones I do find have 14 inch screens. I was thinking about getting one of those and swapping the screen for a 15, but I wasn't sure it would work. Didn't the 15 inch screens come with a different graphics card? Did you swap the card too? Does the card from the 14 inch screen support the 1600x1200 resolution of the 14 inch screen? I'm glad to hear that someone has had success with this sort of thing

Check the original specs on your model but with the A31 series it was the same and both supported. The resolution doesnt change.
