1920 x 1200 LCD for R61/R61e 15.4" widescreen?

Will the 1920 x 1200 LCD panel from a T61p work on an R61/R61e 15.4" widescreen?
Has anyone tried it?

Within T6x/R6x all screens work on other T6x/R6x.
I have tried this screen even in an R500, so I can't see why it should not work.

That's good to hear.

There's a 15.4" WUXGA T61p with a bad GPU available locally at an alluring price, but the only 15.4" working Thinkpad I can find locally is an R61e.

The alternative would be to attempt putting a 14.1" widescreen T61 planar inside a 15.4" T61 widescreen body (if that's even possible), or somehow mate a 15.4 top to a 14.1 bottom.

I did the same mod on my R61i, but the original WXGA cable didn't work with my LG WUXGA panel, I had to get a WSXGA+ cable to make it work.

Apart from the R500 mentioned by RBS above, it will also work in a T/W500 and Z61m/p
