R32 - 2nd HDD Adapter w/80G not recognized

#1 Post by bigdaddyblues » Wed May 25, 2005 4:48 pm

Installed a 80G in a HDD adapter.
Can't find it in the Windows Explorer.
It shows up in the Device Manager and the Bios Setup.

Need help,
thanks

Did you format the drive in disk manager and assign it a partition?

Go to control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management

Choose Disk Management. That will show you all drives. Choose the 80GB HD. Right Click and select "new partition" then follow instructions to make partitions. Then format each partition.

daeojkim,
thanks for the help.
I got the hard drive working and have all my drivers installed.
I'm having a slight problem with my wireless disconnecting in the middle of the download but I'm going to post that as a different problem.
