R61i with T9300?

#1 Post by Dumus » Mon Feb 29, 2016 2:34 pm

Good evening,
I have a one question ?
I have R61i-8932-AEG L3-C8820 07/10.
With T7500, 2x2GB, SSD 250GB, Bios 2.24 (7OETC4WW) .
Does this configuration support T9300 or I must flashing with Middleton BIOS?
Thanks in advance
Milan

Check if you really have the 42W7825/6 motherboard as originally supplied ex-factory.
That mobo is native Penryn-capable (T8100/T8300/T9300/T9500), but if you put in Middleton's BIOS, you'll also get SATA-II speed.

That's probably a serial #, not what we need.
Remove the battery, there might be a small white label under it.
Otherwise remove palmrest and RAM-modules, the P/N or FRU might be there.

Too many unknowns.
Just install Middleton's BIOS and you're grand for the T9300.

Which is the safest address for downloading?
Since I have an old HDD with XP-32bit. To start flashing with him ?

Dobrodošao na forum! :D

I'd suggest burning an ISO and booting from it. That's the way I always do it anyway.

Good luck.
