If you bump into a decent UXGA screen, I've got plenty of A3xp cables that you can have for the price of shipping. Fairly certain that I don't have a single SXGA+ one left.
Let me make this easy for you: you can use almost any ThinkPad IPS screen (A3x, T4x, R5x, T60/p) on an A3x as long as you've matched it with a proper A3x cable. Depending on what panel you end up using, you may or may not have to finagle with the cable fitting and/or sponge bumpers.The connector on my A30 is around 5-7cm long, how about your A31p?
These cables are worthless if you're dealing with an A3x planar.I have a 14.1" SXGA+ and a 15" XGA + cable for T43 lying around and I do not know which one of them can I make use of
