Thinkpad R30 temperature monitor and fan control? TPFANCONTROL doesn't work

Recently i've acquired an old IBM Thinkpad R30 in quite good condition for the purpose of running some old commercial radio equipment for just €10. I was wondering if there ever existed a version of TPFancontrol or something to let me monitor temperatures and set the fan speeds?
