A31p screen retrofit?

#1 Post by wujstefan » Sun Nov 06, 2016 6:23 am

Hello,

I wanted to revive LCD in my old pal, but find it inmpossible to get a decent genuine screen. Would SHARP UXGA LCD fit? They are way easier to get.

Yes, it will fit, with a small cable-change.
For A31/A22 Z-fold just under LCD-connector

Make sure to ONLY get one of the models that I mention there.
And of course you'll also need an A31/p UXGA LCD-cable 27L0683 ...

I used to own an A22p with an IPS screen (from a defunct/parts A31p I think), it was a drop in replacement :) Ran fine with the stock inverter (did A2x series have different inverters for different resolutions/sizes? I forget if it was the same or not for all A2x unlike A3x/T4x/etc. series)
