Drivers for A21m
Drivers for A21m
Decided to spin up my A21m and make it OS original again (had Linux) so went and put Win 98 SE back on it. Now I cant find some of the drivers I need for it. What I am looking for is the USB drivers (as I put the video and sound drivers on usb stick to move over) and possibly LAN drivers.
I saw this thread
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=109948
And this person had a hard time getting the LAN drivers, but still, usb would be nice. (or will just use floppy for everything)
The Lenovo website will no longer recognize the unit (2628-G6U) so cannot find any drivers there for it. The other drivers I got are from here:

FYI, if you REALLY need to find it in Lenovo website, try think.lenovo.com.cngrimmster wrote:The Lenovo website will no longer recognize the unit (2628-G6U) so cannot find any drivers there for it.
It has drivers for every major organized models (so I series is kinda messed up in there) starting with the original 700
Btw you also have to put your location in as one of the forum rules suggested

Re: Drivers for A21m
I believe the modem and LAN or tied together (and the reason the other post link was having a hard time) but it definitely has a built in LAN port..ajkula66 wrote:According to original specs, that machine shipped with modem only, no LAN of any kind

I was able to get the USB drivers (thanks Neil) and now have USB done, audio done, video done Debating if I am going to worry at all about LAN. Not sure I care if this is online or not (probably better not to have it online)
Just a nice old system to play some old games on...

Re: Drivers for A21m
The drivers are not tied together and the fact that the machine has a LAN port doesn't mean that the card is there. Having said that, you can pick up a mini-PCI combo card for literally a few bucks nowadays should you decide to pursue that type of connectivity.grimmster wrote:
