Achieved: My TP A31P 2,6Ghz, 2GB,256GB IDE-SSD alive and kicking

Hello

I managed to have my "historic" piece of Thinkpad back to life some week ago...
  • It runs Windows 7 SP1, not speedy but properly, just somehow a bit slow, but it works, it is as up to date as possible, it is secure and it allows to get a glimpse of the achievement, that this Laptop was.
It handles batteries properly, something that disturbed me for quite some time, obviously quite a few board are not fully functional any more.
I managed to get rid of the driver/system problem "ati3duag.dll".
I managed to have an larger SSD instead of a IDE drive with the help of an M-SATA to IDE-converter and have the installation (a) transfered and (b) working.
So now it sits literally on a shelf and I do have it boot from time to time, just to see it does work, still.  :D

PS.: I think I'll be able to restore one completely and another 70%. Anyone interested, PM welcome...
