Thinkpad Z61T Palmrest for Z60T?

#1 Post by Obsolete Collector » Sun Feb 25, 2018 5:43 pm

I'm trying to get a Palm Rest for my Z60T, but i'm unsure about some of the listings. Some say Thinkpad Z60T/Z61T, and I really don't know if the Z61T's palm rest will fit. So I want to know if anyone's tried this out, and if it works perfectly. Thank you!

All TP's will take the same parts if in the same size class and generation.

Ex. 14" T4x will fit each other

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Yeah TPs have been able to swap parts for forever. All the following TPs can change most if not all parts with eah other.

700/720 1992
500/510 1993
340/345 1994
355/360/750/Early-755/370 1993-1995
Late 755/365 1995-1996
All 760/765 1996-1997
All 770 1997-1999
All 535 1996
All 560 1997-1999
570/570E 2000
All 380/385 1999
All 390 2000
All T2x, A2x, A3x, R3x, X2x, X3x, X4x, T4x, R4x, R5x. post-2002

I think you get the point.

Only T4x and R5x come anywhere close.

No, I just mean each one is compatible within its own group. At that point no need to waste vertical space.

I assume he meant that each of these has interchangeable parts within the series, not between them...
Thinkpad 25 (20K7), T490 (20N3), Yoga 14 (20FY), T430s (IPS FHD + Classic Keyboard), X220 4291-4BG
X61 7673-V2V, T60 2007-QPG, T42 2373-F7G, X32 (IPS Screen), A31p w/ Ultrabay Numpad

Yes.
/= interchangable partsbetween models
, = interchangable parts only within its own series.

OC
I live in Roxboro, but work on Hillsborough Rd in Durham.
Have tons of Z60 and 61T parts. What are you looking for?

My long time personal machine was a Z61t just about maxed out. The Ti cover still has the factory plastic attached via double sided tape.
