dvd writer on brand new r50e won't eject home-burned cds

hi everybody,

i just bought my 1st ever notebook the other day and i'm hoping i made the right choice with a thinkpad (even though i got an r50e only-- notebooks here in the philippines will cost you an arm and a leg). anyway, i hope my question isn't off topic...

anyway, the dvd writer on my thinkpad doesnt eject home-burnt cds. the cds run, but when i'm done with them, the tray doesn't pop out even though i press the blue eject button repeatedly. i can only eject them while the pc reboots after i restart it. i find that the same doesn't apply to installer discs that come with the hardware (e.g router, etc). should i go waving the warranty around now?

any help would be appreciated. thanks!

thanks! had one more incident of the cd not ejecting, but otherwise everything seems to be ok.
