R60 64 bit AHCI

#1 Post by Phil83 » Sun Dec 16, 2018 3:43 pm

hello,
on my R60 I installed a samsung SSD 840evo. When I was running win7 32 bit I could check samsung magician and see that AHCI was activated.

Now I'm using win7 64 bit and samsung magician tells no ahci activated and I don't know why...

AHCI is activated in bios

best regards

Phil

What CPU do you have? Probably 32-bit.
Try T7200/T7400/T7600.

If he had a 32-bit CPU, how could he run Win7 64-bit in the first place?

In that case you either have an unsigned driver problem, or it's a too old Magician version.
Update Magician.
Also, there are several problems with the 840 EVO as it gets older...
