Re: Thinkpad z61p
Uhh, there's no Thinkpad model Z61p.
What you have is probably a T61p.
How much it's worth depends not only on its specs but also factors, such as:
- physical condition (presence/absence of defects like cracked plastic parts, wobbly/broken hinges, scratches on lid and chassis, etc.)
- electronic components (working/broken wifi, LAN, keyboards, USB ports, GPU, etc.)
- remaining battery capacity

Re: Thinkpad z61p
Unfortunately the Z61p is nothing more than a 15.4" widescreen slightly souped-up T60p.
Max is still 4GB RAM of which just a tiny bit over 3GB is usable.
If you're lucky you might get maybe $60 or so.

Re: Thinkpad z61p
Is your Z61p a little wrecked, or is it in a near pristine condition? I would say $20 for the housing, if it is in a near pristine condition. $7, if it looks wrecked.
Does it come with a Chicony, or an ALPS, or an NMB keyboard installed? I would say $17 for an NMB keyboard in a good condition, and $12 for an ALPS keyboard in a good condition. The Chicony... would be probably $8. I doubt it is any good, anyway.
If that display panel isn't yellowed out, $26? I would assume that there are not a lot of dead pixels either, or maybe none at all.
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this a Core 2 Duo T7400? Some of the Z61m configure-to-order models came with a Core Duo T2600 installed, but I am not sure if this also applies to the Z61p.
$4 for the Core 2 Duo T7400, I guess.
Two 2GB RAM modules in dual-channel mode? I think maybe $6 would be a fair value.
4200 RPM, or 5400 RPM, or 7200 RPM? Is the HDD close to dying?
I would say $12 if it is a 7200 RPM drive, and is in a good condition. If it is an 4200 RPM drive, and is in poor condition, $5.
If your Z61p has all of the good properties combined, that would be a grand total of $85. Take this with a grain of salt, though. I honestly have no idea if anyone would be willing to pay $85 for a Z61p.
Re: Thinkpad z61p
The most important question, IMO: Titanium lid, or the standard black one ?
If it's a Ti lid AND in great shape, $100. I almost couldn't give away an absolutely pristine Z61m with a Ti lid about a year and half ago.
Good luck.

Well at least you may be sure that the system still lives a glorious life I love those Z-series really. Have each of them, couple of them in service, and a few smiling at me from my memories reservoir.
It depends a lot on the condition and lid type. Post some pics.
Too many thinkpads not enough time!
