A22m ethernet driver not working

Hello! I recently put a new HDD in my A22m and reinstalled Windows 98SE, got everything set up properly, but for some odd reason, the ethernet drivers refuse to work

For reference, it has an Intel PRO/100 SP Mobile Combo Adapter, the laptop's model is 2628-PF1, and I got the drivers from https://thinkpads.com/support/Thinkpad- ... -2628.html
The driver seems to install just fine, but then when Windows 98 restarts, it says that the ethernet card failed to load

Any idea what's going on?
