The file has been removed from the online location. I have bought a wifi card from a G500 thinking it is from the same line of laptop just smaller screen and would be recognizible but it didn't accept. My laptop didn't come with bluetooth and I would like to install a combo Wifi/ Bluetooth card but not sure it is worth the hassle. I also don't find a list of compatible cards with the original bios.

Since your last reply I have been digging deep into this issue of a modified bios for this laptop. Unfortunately, no success on this as all info found doesn't provide me much hope and for many people it seems to be impossible. All the guys from bios mods needs a dump which is only possible by using a programmer.
Apparently Lenovo have created a very strong security system that no one can break into it. List of wifi cards whitelisted by Lenovo doesn't include any great improvements in terms of speed.
The only way to generate a dump is via a programmer so I have decided to buy and after have dismantled all the laptop due to its chip location I had no success to get the dump with it.
There were some info from other users who faced similar issue and one guy need to have the chip de soldered to be able to reprogramme the bios and soldered it back again.
At the moment I am starting to believe only lenovo can do it.
I can't find out if any previous oficial Lenovo Bios would be unlocked or maybe future bios releases? I doubt it.
Another alternative would be to find someone who got all ready an modified G700 bios (there may not be many out there ) that would be willing to send me a copy to install at my laptop, I know there is a risk by installing a bios not for your own laptop but I got no other options left and I wouln't mind to try
Any toughts, ideas or alternatives would be much appreciated.
Cheers
