G40 Recovery CD - Windows XP
Does anybody have the Recovery CD for the Thinkpad G40 that I could get an .iso of?
Looking to recover my G40 to factory defaults but I don't have the CD and couldn't find it anywhere on the net.
Any help is much appreciated.

Re: G40 Recovery CD - Windows XP
I own a G40 with the stock install still on it (well, recovered from the pre desktop enviroment)
Is there IBM tooling to create an ISO from that?

Re: G40 Recovery CD - Windows XP
If it's possible, there is a "create recovery media" or similar option from one of the IBM start menu groups. Not all models give that option though.
G series recovery seems pretty hard to find. At one point someone here had a disk for the G41 but he parted ways with it before he could create an image I could archive with the rest of the images I have.
If you're able to make an image of the factory-restored HDD or if you are successful with the create recovery media endeavor, I'd be privileged to include it it with the rest of my archive.

Bit long-winded in their descriptions, but they seem to be legit (download/DVD/USB-key): https://restore.solutions/dv/laptop/ibm/thinkpadg40/

Yeah, I'm definitely not buying from a website as sketchy as that.
I reckon I'll just stick to good ole' 98SE.
Thanks anyways.
