Z61t shuts down installing XP at "Registering Components"

#1 Post by solidpro » Wed Nov 23, 2022 3:01 pm

Hi All

Never come across this before. Well used to installing XP on SATA and always use the same image. The install goes fine but when it's down to 17 minutes and 'registering components' the machine shuts down...

Restart the setup and it's back at 39 minutes. Gets to the same place and shuts down. I'm in a loop.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

Thanks!

It was the RAM that came with the machine....
