Thinkpad A21e recovery mode

#1 Post by Exalan » Mon Apr 17, 2023 5:36 am

Hello! Just got this device to my collection and trying to "learn it". I noticed it has recovery partition on the hdd which came with the laptop (original IBM HDD). I found out that recovery mode could be activated by tapping thinkpad button on loading screen. But its not working for me. Is there any way to setup it ? Because I think that some settings might went off since it has Windows XP but originally was Win98. Thank you in advance.

If the recovery partition is intact you may be able to invoke recovery using F11 during startup.
