Can't find A31 Chipset driver for Win98SE

#1 Post by Gonzaleitor » Thu Jun 29, 2023 12:06 pm

Does someone have that driver? Is not in the drivers page and the ones that I found are for Windows 2000/XP and later releases.
Thanks!

Well, i just found one that works. I'll leave the link for the next person looking for this driver:
https://www.philscomputerlab.com/intel- ... ivers.html
(It's the one [4.10.1012.zip] that includes i845MP)

just wondered. what's the purpose of a chipset driver for one of these? when i google i get told the point of one is to allow the cpu/ram/gpu stuff to communicate. but wouldn't nothing work at all if they couldn't? ive never gone out of my way to install them and its never caused trouble.

Yeah, the communication between them is up with the windows driver, but it's more efficient with the proper chipset driver(and some of the drivers include more functions).
