Recycle old batteries?

#1 Post by ksaisjja » Sat Aug 06, 2005 9:15 pm

Hello all,

So I bought my first battery ever for my A31. Usually the laptop seems to outlive the battery by the age that I buy them at it seems.

So what can we do with the old ones? Are there places that will refurb them? It seems like a waste to have to chuck it.

crack open the casing, get the make/model of the cells, take a few pics so you know what goes where (most have some sort of circuitry and its need to back exactly as original) order new ones and replace them. some alumiweld or similiar may be required to make up the connections... seal it up, and viola, new battery... im doing this on my my 770, well, i will once i get around to it.. price should be a third of buying a new battery, or maybe even less..
insanity sucks
