S-Video in for A30p

#1 Post by jcan » Tue Aug 09, 2005 9:54 am

Hi,
I can't figure out how I get the s-vdieo in for A30p.
I tried to connect the PS1 thru s-video cable with A30p,
but don't know how I can get the game screen on A30p.
Any special plug-in needed?
Thanks a lot.

Please explain clearly what model you have, what you are trying to do, and what exactly you have tried.

The S-Video in needs software to capture the video. My A31p came with a program by MGI (called VideoWave or something like that) that works well.

My A31p has both an S-Video In and an S-Video out, so I can output to TV, and capture video too.

I guess having only an S-Video Out is mostly standard, but some machines, like mine, have the bonus S-Video In.

Thanks.
My A30p model is 2653-64U, and I don't have any S/W to capture video-in. So, Do I have to have S/W? How can I get it? Thanks.

Also, what I was trying to do is use A30p LCD as output monitor for my PS1. I don't need the real time video capturing as of now. Thanks.

You definitely need some kind of software, but I don't know of anything that does what you want: take the signal from the s-video input and display it in full-size on your Thinkpad's screen in real-time.
