Thinkpad A30 Battery

I have a quick question. Is the A30 battery a smart battery? Meaning, can I recharge the battery anytime without having to drain the battery to 4%? TIA

But personally I make it a point to drain all the way once in awhile, maybe once every 2 weeks or so at least.
