5in1 memory adapter seen as MTD-0002

#1 Post by BeemerBiker » Tue Sep 20, 2005 10:54 pm

I have a CF type flash memory adapter (pcmcia) that worked fine in my A20M. I bought a 5in1 adapter to complement it. It is not recognized, instead an error message pops up about needing drivers for MTD-0002.
Googleing MTD-0002 shows the same problem with compaq 1200 series notebooks and the solution is to disable soundblaster compatibility. Unfortunately, my A20M bios (even latest one) has no options like that. I recall that SB compatibility means reserving INT5 (??) and I notice that in XP system manager that INT5 is not listed. There are a bunch of devices sharing INT11 but INT5 is not present anywhere.

I tried both slots, didnt make a difference. The device came with no drivers and stated compatibility with XP. There were no drivers for the older model CF adapter but it works fine.
