Question about warranty !

I have IBM Thinkpad R50e-1834-EQ1

I bought 2 months ago in India. I got business reply card with it.
Before it was showing warranty started from 3 May 2005 till 3 May 2006.

After sending Business reply to IBM .,Great Britain address, and when i
checked online warranty of my machine, it said warranty starts from
27 July 2005 till 27 July 2007.

It's weired! Because above model comes with 1 year warranty. Any1 knows why so ? Or can say why is that? Well i m very happy because i m getting 2 years full warranty from the date on which i purchased this
