R50 Thinkvantage access connections problem

#1 Post by redfabiuz » Fri Sep 30, 2005 3:20 am

I just upgraded to last version of access connections
and when I start it the tray-part of it (qctray) crashes.
I use two different network location, at work and at home,
and at home I have wireless.
I upgraded yesterday night at home, now I'm at work and I have
the wireless signal up and the home profile applied.

Edited to add that I didn't upgrade the network drivers.

Edited to add: R50 model, Windows XP SP 2

Any idea?

Thanks

Just to add that when I restart access connections it works but when I resume from a stand-by it crashes.

I just performed an overall upgrade on the R51 of a friend. Everything went well except for Access Connection 3.81: qctray.exe fails to load at startup. When starting Access Connection manually at the end of the booting sequence, qctray.exe does load properly. This is on an XP SP2 system.

I have no problems whatsoever with Access Connection 3.81 on my X31 (running W2K SP4).

Have you found a solution to your problem? What WLAN adapter do you have on your R50? My friend has an Intel 2100 B3 on his R51 (just trying to find possible similarities).
