Parallel port on Thinkpad R50e

#1 Post by Tiberre » Mon Oct 03, 2005 9:00 am

Unfortunatly there is only 2 USB2 port on the TP R50e and the // port is useless. So I would like to use this port as a third USB port if needed. For exemple, to connect a USB mouse to the // port.

I know there is a lot of converters // to USB on the market, (to connect a // printer on a USB port) but I want the opposite !

Is it possible ?

Thanks a lot for your opinions and comments about.

It's not possible and not practical. (Parallel port is too slow.) You could get a 2 or 4-port USB PC Card. Or you could get an external powered hub. Kensington and Targus both have external 7-port powered hubs.
