DVI on mini-dock with R51 not working

#1 Post by jtentis » Thu Oct 06, 2005 2:32 pm

I tried to hook up the mini-dock with a DVI connnection to a Dell LCD monitor and I didn''t get a signal. It works just fine with the analog cable.

My question: Do I need to change any settings on the R51 laptop to enable DVI? Is the R51 capable of DVI through the mini-dock?

thanks much for your help!

IIRC, depending on your specific model there are (or not) respective settings within the BIOS. I'm at my desktop right now, otherwise i'd check that. Again, IIRC, you need to have an ATI videocard in order to have DVI working, the integrated graphics doens't support it.
X200 Tablet (7449); SL 9400; 8 GB RAM; 128 GB SSD (OCZ Vertex 2E), WWAN. Previously: T60; 320 GB HDD / 3 GB RAM / T7200 / x1300 / Bluetooth. Nice machine.
