Right Wireless Mini-PCI Card for my R32

#1 Post by 3EK » Tue Oct 11, 2005 5:49 pm

Hi,

I'm wondering if the following adapters are compatible with my R32:

Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Intel_PRO ... CI_Adapter.

Intel PRO WIRELESS 2915ABG-802.11 A/B/G MPCI http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0003Q ... 2&v=glance

Atheros AR5212A G/G+108 108M 108Mbps WLAN Mini PCI Card ?

my R32 is not listed in "approved" list, but will the card work?

What is the proven solution for R32 besides
High Rate Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Adapter http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-44033, offered by IBM?

Does anybody use newer cards (802.11a/b/g) with R32? Do they do 54Mbp or even 108Mbp?

Last quest: Does R32 have antenna inside? I haven't noticed one while openning the case... Pls advise.

seems like answers to questions are not forth coming, i can only tell you what i have done but its not the same model...hopefully it might help.

i have an IBM A31 with built in wireless slot. it came with wifi b card so i too wanted to know...lucky me i took my wife's Dell Intel pro 2200 bg card out without her knowing, hehehe. i downloaded the latest drivers for that card and installed them. turned lappy on and wireless i was. so, i know this is not the same model, but i hope it might help. i didn't update my bios, i asked a Q on the bios and never got a reply....nice, its ok. well, if you can get your hands on an Intel pro wireless 2200bg , it might work...but i can't say 100%

good luck
