Removing Thinkpad R51 HDD

Hi,

I recently bought a new hard drive for my R51, and when it came to replace the other hard drive, I had difficulty removing it. I have the manuals, and know how to do it, but when it comes to simply pulling the hard drive up and out by it's cover, it doesn't want to come out.

Any ideas why? Should it come out easily and smoothly, or the first time removal requires breaking some plastic bits holding it in place?

Any help would be great.

One screw to remove it .. but you need to open the lid because the lip of the LCD cover will prevent you from pulling the drive out of the hole.
