R40 2682 Video Card Upgrade?

#1 Post by hanks » Wed Nov 02, 2005 8:36 am

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to upgrade the video card in my laptop. It is a R40 2682. I want to get a video card that is good enough for me to play games such as Battlefield 2 and World of Warcraft.

I was also wondering if there was any cheap memory upgrades i can do. I currently have 40gb and I would like to make it 80gb.

Any help would be awesome.

The videocard is integrated to the motherboard and it cannot be upgraded w/o replacing the entire motherboard.

and the best system board for your R40 is:

System board
Pentium 4, 32MB ATI Radeon 7500, with security card, with 1394, peak shift (FRU 26P8403)

which is not good enoughf or battlefield 2 nor Quake 4
IBM ThinkPad T42 CTU # Pentium M 1.8 Ghz Dothan # Mobility 9600 64 MB @375/240 # Hynix 1024 MB PC2700 RAM #
Fujitsu 80 GB 5400 RPM # LG CDRW/DVD Combo Drive # Intel Wireless b/g mPCI # TFT 14.1 XGA Display # WinXP Pro SP2 Catalyst 7.7
