T23 Suddden Death (sort of)

#1 Post by northstar7 » Thu Nov 03, 2005 7:26 pm

I have a T23 built from parts bought on ebay. (A dumb idea, perhaps, I know.)

It was working fine until yesterday, when I downloaded the latest update for Windows 2000 pro. It then proceeded to hang.

I tried to restart but there was no response. Today, when I tried to restart, it would start -- sort of. But none of the indicator lights, either on the keyboard or on the hinge cover will light up.

I tried pushing start 10 times + and I've taken out all the various devices and reinstalled them with out any luck.

Is the consensus that this is a new motherboard problem?

Thanks very much.
